As the 2024 holiday crush starts to wind down, the artists of the Paducah Area Painters Alliance want to thank you for your patronage and support. We also want to provide an inspirational image to remind you to take a breath and give yourself some relaxing time to recharge. This painting by Linda Martin, “Winter Wonderland,” tends to do just that. She helps us imagine the feel of the cold air, the crunch of snow beneath feet and the quiet of the sleeping trees. Beyond all that crispness, you feel the warmth of the couple walking arm in arm. They might be talking in low voices or they might simply be walking in silence taking in the restorative mood of the environment around them. We wish you this kind of warmth and comfort in the new year.
