There are many images associated with autumn, but only in certain parts of the country can this scene be observed. This painting, Dark Fired Tobacco, by PAPA artist Eve Adams is a familiar sight to many in western Kentucky. It may present a curiosity or even concern to people passing through to see smoke pouring out of a barn however! The challenge word for our artists this month was Harvest and even the yellowing leaves on the tree tell us the time of year must be autumn. This painting is one of many creative depictions of harvest waiting in our challenge section and we invite you to come see them all. While you’re here, check out our annual $10 miniature painting sale as well as the fresh paintings in our new show. We can help with your holiday shopping or we can simply enjoy looking at art with you. In any event, we hope you’ll stop by for a visit next time you’re downtown.
