We have had such beautiful fall weather, all month! The color show is now
beginning, so get out and enjoy everything about this season.
These are busy times, for PAPA Gallery! Thank you, for the donations, so far,
to our $10 Fundraiser! This is so important to our financial health, during the
slower times of the year. Please, keep them coming! Believing that the 15th was
a Saturday….that date was selected to begin our Sale, it is indeed Friday, but it will
continue to be the start of the $10 Miniature Sale!
Speaking of dates, on viewing the Dec. calendar, our meeting would be Dec. 31st,
not an option! It was decided to have no meeting in Dec., and move the Painting
Exchange, to Nov. meeting, on the 26th. Jenny and Mark, will host a fun evening.
The Challenge is “Paint Something Soft”. For the Painting Exchange, bring an 11×14
or smaller. We always have fun giving and receiving! Bring a favorite snack and enjoy
the fellowship.
Christmas Open House is Nov.9th. Linda, Martha, Carol and maybe Darlene will
provide delicious treats, to our visitors….and us! Come on and be a part of this day!
The meeting and Gallery Show change is here, already! Bring your work the
28th and 29th, 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 minis, 8 cards and 5 ornaments. Please
have the ornaments in a disposable bag with the entry form inside the bag.
Ornaments can be replaced as they are sold. I am excited to see your creativity in
this area, too!!
Chad McLaren will have our program, “Marketing You Art”. Chad has been on fire,
creating, and selling his work! Come hear his secrets and knowledge in the area.
By the way, Diane has requested your input in future programs, please complete
that form as she is working hard to help us grow in knowledge of our craft.
The Challenge for Oct. is “Painting at Night”. Featured Artist for Nov. is
Chris Thompson. His work and use of color is just amazing! Many thanks, to John and
Chad, for stepping in and giving us a wonderful show and a new collaboration!
An update on the City Block Project…the hotel will be near the Convention Center.
Exact use of the planned hotel space is undecided, but repaving is underway near
Broadway of the crumbling parking area! Newer part of parking lot remains open
during this needed process.
Hope your head is not spinning from all the info! As usual, thanks for all you do for
PAPA and Happy Halloween!
