THE PAPA GALLERY
Jenny Fuller
Jenny is a native of Paducah, Kentucky. Other than the two years when she and her husband lived in Rolla, Missouri, she has lived here.
She came from an artistic family but she never cared much about it herself. When she was twenty eight she found herself in need of something to fill her time because of immobility, she found painting. First it was with watercolor, then acrylic, then oils and pastel.
There were some friends that painted in Reidland, Ky. close to where she lived and she started going and painting with them. She learned a lot from them and soon took lessons from Cleda Curtis and Clyde Lawter. In the years since she has been able to take other workshops with Johannes Vloothius, Tony Couch, Joe Fettingis and others.
When her parents were ill, she found that pastels worked very well with her time limitations. There is no cleanup except washing your hands.
- She takes commissions and paints for display.
- She has written and illustrated two children’s books, ‘Sebastian and the Wise Old Man’ and ‘A Horse Named Willie’.
- She is a wife, mother of one daughter, grandmother of two grandsons and is blessed with many friends.
