The challenge word for PAPA artists this month was Cardinal. Where some might first think of a red bird or maybe a religious official, artist Dale Houseworth thought of baseball! His painting “Baseballis Cardinalis” may take liberties with the language, but his painting style gives us the action, motion and energy of a batter about to make contact with the ball. We have several different interpretations of the word cardinal in our special challenge exhibit and we invite you to come in to see them yourself.
