After our last meeting, Charles and I slipped off to visit my sister in Pensacola. Fortunately, we were able to see the Vincent Van Gogh exhibit, where you are totally immersed in his paintings!  The paintings stayed a moment before you were totally engulfed by a wave of different work!  Harrietta told me to look around for Clyde Lawter, our founder, he was certainly a fan of Van Gogh!  I know many of you have seen this wonderful exhibit, accompanied by fantastic music!  Hope you have an opportunity to see the exhibit.

I do hope you are painting, for our $10 Miniature Sale!  This is our only fundraiser, so please donate, all you can!  Leave them on the counter in the back, to be labeled and stored until mid-November.

Meeting time, again!  Tuesday, September 26th, at 7:00.  Our program will be on Print Making, given by Tori Story.  Her emphasis will be on small-scale work, like cards.  The October Featured Artist will be Cindy McLaren.  Hope you have seen Heather Reid’s colorful show!  The Challenge Painting is Abstract Painting.

Don’t forget the Gallery Show Change is October 23rd and 24th.  4 Framed, 4 Unframed, 7 Miniatures, and 8 Cards.

Cindy sent you info on an opportunity to entree a Small Works Show at Wood River Heritage Center, near Alton, ill.  This is a Juried Show, with entrants from Chicago to New Orleans.  Entry Forms are available at the Gallery, with all the specific requirements.  If you wish to enter, a gentleman from the Heritage Council will pick up you work on Tuesday, at the Gallery.  Please give me a text or call, if you plan to enter this show.  My number is 270-519-3198.  This is a 3 hour trip, one way, just a courtesy to inform him.  Please call before Tuesday.

Thanks, to Phillip Little, we have a new Hot Water Heater!  Yea!

As always, thanks for all you do for PAPA!
