WORDS and PICTURES – Those are the two essentials needed to create your PAPA PAGE.

For PAPA BIO BOOK – a one page printed (or handwritten) page that we keep in our BIO BOOK. A photocopy of your page will be included with the sale of your painting and be available by request. Our customers really enjoy knowing more about you! A sample page layout is shown to the left. Click to see larger image.
- ELEMENTS NEEDED:
- Profile Picture (a photo of yourself)
- Artist statement/Bio
- Contact Information Paragraph
RESOURCE: ART BIO WORD TEMPLATE
Download and use to insert your text and Photo, as a starting place. If you haven’t used Word before, or in a while, this template can be used to type or paste the text of your Artist Statement and Contact Information, and insert your profile picture where indicated.

- When finished editing your page, save your file as YourNamePAPABIO.
- Use this file for printing your PAPA Page master copy for our BIO Book at the Gallery.
- Send your file to cindy@teaksouls.com and she will make sure it gets printed, and use it to start your online Artist Page if you don’t have one!
Bring your printed page to the Gallery, make a copy or two, place an ‘original’ sticky-note tag on your first copy, and slide the pages into a plastic sleeve. Place it in alphabetical order in the BIO BOOK, and that’s it! Ready for our customers.

FOR OUR WEBSITE – Now it’s time to initiate your Artist page, add some paintings! Your Artist Page will help people find you when they search for you or your art online. When you create a page for the Bio Book using the Word template above, you are halfway to creating your online Artist Page.
Use the ONLINE ARTIST PAGE REQUEST MENU, and choose ‘CREATE NEW ARTIST PAGE’, and fill out the form, which guides you. You will be prompted to ‘ADD A PAINTING’ after hitting the submit button.
ELEMENTS NEEDED:
- Profile Picture (a photo of yourself, or one to represent yourself)
- Artist statement/Bio
- Up to 9 Paintings (include Title, Medium, Size (optional) for each)
- Links to your Art sites (Facebook, Instagram, website, etc.) (optional)
If you want to include your Email/Physical address/phone information, you may do so by including them in your statement.
RESOURCE: ARTIST PAGE REQUEST MENU (Enter Password if/when prompted)
This MENU is meant to guide you, based on what you need to do. It will collect and send your information to our Website Support person who will contact you when your page is underway and when ready for your review. You can also find this MENU button on For Members, in the Essential Elements section.
Collect the elements needed, and click the link above when you are ready. When you are happy with your Artist Page, it will be linked to on ‘Our Artists’ Directory page with the ‘Featured Image’ you chose during this process. The featured image will also display when the link to your Artist Page is posted into Email/Social Media Applications. If you don’t have a website, feel free to refer to your PAPA Page as your own!

- Look at Artist Pages on ‘Our Artists‘ Directory for examples.
- Use the ARTIST PROFILE QUESTIONNAIRE to get ideas and begin writing.
