PAPAs featured artist this month, Ellen Hunt, gives us space to contemplate with her painting “Where are the Clouds.” The bright color in the yellow dress, hair ribbon and basket of flowers may get your attention at first, but then you might tend to look along with the girl toward the fork in the path. Is she deciding which path to take or is she reflecting on the road already taken? Maybe her goal is to leave us with a little mystery. Like many artists, Ellen painted as a self-proclaimed “dabbler” for many years, but you’ll see that “dabbler” has clearly not applied for a long time.
