Once again, it is planting time and the battle with the Bunnies is in full swing! With the help of cotton balls and Oil of Peppermint, I have lost only two tender plants to the biggest Rabbit, I have ever seen! Fingers crossed, that my good fortune continues. I hope your battles are small during this planting season.
Thanks to Rebecca Mueller-Williams and Chad McLaren for keeping the Gallery open from 11-7 for the Water for Life Festival! I think a good time was had by all!
Hard to believe, but it is time already, for our meeting! May 28th, 7:00 at the Gallery. Our program will be presented by Ben Walker, Art Teacher at Concord Elementary, here in Paducah. He studied Illustration and Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Besides teaching, he is creating personal work, showing in the area, solo and with the Wastelanders. His work consists of pen and ink drawings and 3-D mixed media. Pictures of his work are just amazing!
The Challenge for May is “Clouds”, for June is “Self-Portrait”. Thanks to Sandi Johnson for being the June Featured Artist, with little notice. The scheduled artist was unable to show. Julie Brigance’s Show has been a wonderful showcase of her past and present work! Great job, Julie!
This weekend is Memorial Day. Hope your celebrations include a time to reflect on those giving the ultimate gift, of defending our freedom, but giving their lives!
See you Tuesday night! As always, thanks, for all you do for PAPA!
