You know, I always wondered what it would be like to live in the Arctic Circle… we certainly have experienced a bit of that, lately! While staying home, I painted some, but my passion was looking at yummy, easy recipes on Instagram. I found three that had simple ingredients, that I had, and prepared them. Lessons learned, you really can overcook a Turkey Breast, Stove Top Stuffing is not that good, and to use those quick and easy soup mixes, add a little meat for flavor. Golden Corral will still be on our Thanksgiving menu! One more lesson, move to the Tropics!
The final total for our $10 Miniature Sale was $3200.00! Thank you, so much for your donations….great job!
Once again, it is time for Gallery Show change. Bring your work, Monday, Jan. 29th or Tuesday, the 30th. Remember 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 miniatures, and 8 cards.
Our meeting is Tuesday, the 30th at 7:00. Marcia Duncan is presenting our program on Collage…I am so excited! You will know her work for winning First place in the Critter Show and First Place at the Woman’s Club Show, both in Drawing. Marcia’ daughter was also a winner in Collage. Marcia and Ellen Hunt teach Art Classes at their church on Tuesday, Ellen has shared some of their Collage paintings….simply amazing!
Thanks, to Chad McLaren for his Featured Artist Show for Dec. and extending through Jan. His use of color and technique is fantastic! Jan Barrett is Featured Artist in February.
The January Challenge is “Hands “. February will be “Paint a Cardinal”.
Cindy and Suzanne collaborated to make a video, “23, A Year in Review”. I watched several times reflecting on the many fun times we had together. Be sure to thank them and thank you, for making PAPA a wonderful group of Artists! I feel we are living up to our goal of helping, educating, and encouraging each other.
Mark and Nora have refreshments for this month. As always, thanks for all you do for PAPA!
