Liz Hudson’s painting sets a hopeful example for the new year in “Looking Ahead.” Her subject looks calmly but determinedly toward whatever awaits out of view. During this month of resolutions and planning, the image of this undaunted person reminds us we can meet whatever challenges we encounter with grace and beauty.
