Happy Thanksgiving! While you are busy cooking, my sisters and I are busy
ordering, our Thanksgiving feast! We will enjoy a beautifully set table, freshly
warmed delicious food and we will be together.
Thank you, so much, for your donations to our $10 Mini Fundraiser! Our loyal
patrons and all attending, have been more than thrilled with their selections! Thanks,
to Cindy, Sandi, and Suzanne for their gifts in utilizing Social Media to get the word
out about the sale. If you have anything else to donate, keep bringing them. So far,
we have had two really good days, selling from the Gallery Show, too.
We have another outstanding Gallery Show and the addition of Ornaments
has been well received. All of your hard work is benefiting each of you and the Gallery!
Christmas Open House was good. Jenny, Carol, Linda, Martha, and I enjoyed the
day greeting visitors and old friends, as we enjoyed some tasty snacks! I was so
immersed in the fun, I forgot my job of picture taking…sorry. We had a good day,
despite the light rain.
We celebrated Chris Thompson’s Featured Artist Show with a Reception, Nov 8th.
Easter Seals brought two bus loads of his friends and the community came in
support of his show. Please be sure to see his show! His use of color and technique
is inspiring to all.
I just stopped to reread this epistle… no wonder, I am a little tired! What good
and fun memories!
Nov. 26th is the next meeting. This will be our Painting Exchange, normally
occurring in Dec., no meeting on the 31st. Well, bring your 11×14 and smaller painting,
gift wrapped, your special snack to share and enjoy a relaxed, fun evening. I did
hear that Santa will be there wearing a new outfit! Also, the Challenge is, “ Painting
of Something Soft”. The Challenge for January is “ Painting, Using Black and White
Only”. Those attending the Oct. meeting made selections for 2025, your list will be
in the mail or at the Gallery, soon.
I am so thankful, for each of you, as we work together at PAPA Gallery. Our
guests continue to remind us that we are a “gem” for Paducah! Thank you, for all
you do for PAPA. Enjoy Thanksgiving, and continue to count your blessings each day.
