Days are becoming shorter, apples, pumpkins, and mums are being harvested, art projects are more numerous…..it is almost October!! To me, fall is an exciting time of year, hope you are enjoying the changes.
As PAPA members, we have many opportunities to make, sell, and share our art. First of all, our Gallery Show change will be Oct. 28th and 29th, hanging the new show on the 30th. Don’t forget to add 5 ornaments to the list of 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 minis, and 8 cards, to the number of works you may enter. Second, the $10 Mini Fundraiser, begins on Nov. 15th. Please bring your donations, any time. Thirdly, the Small Works Competition in Ill. Bring your work to the meeting, the person picking them up would like to know how many to expect.
Our regular meeting is Sept. 24th, 7:00 at the Gallery. The program will be presented by Savannah from Broadway Custom Frame Shop. She will offer tips on framing your work, also answering any questions. As you know, presentation is all important in showcasing your work! By the way, I hope you saw the video Cindy prepared of your Gesture drawing, last month. It really showed your abilities! Thank you for the great photos, Becca!
The Challenge Painting is “Paint a Still Life” and next month, “Paint a Night Scene”.
A great big thanks, to John and Chad McLaren for being Featured Artist in October! The person scheduled was unable to show. Thanks, to Martha Brown for her excellent Show!
Heather Reid, our new treasurer, has requested that you please take your time, in filling out the Sales Receipt. Please, no abbreviations and use all the space needed to get information on the form. Let’s do all we can to make this difficult task easier! I am sure that Brenda would “amen” this request! Heather is doing a wonderful job!
Board Members, we need to meet to address some issues! 6:00 before the meeting.
Welcome to new members, Debbie Dupre’, Marley Duncan, and Ryan Robertson.
By the way, Ornament Forms will be available at the meeting and on the Website.
Refreshments, this month, provided by Rebecca Mueller- Williams.
Enjoy the season, and as always, thanks, for all you do for PAPA!
