The Eclipse was one we will remember and talk about for years to come!  To me, it was more exciting than the one, just seven years earlier.  The Eclipse Event, at the Gallery, was also memorable!  I opened the door at noon, visitors poured in, I greeted and Jenny was cashier.  From Wisconsin to Florida, New York, the Carolina’s, Atlanta, Nashville, Paducah and everywhere, all were complimentary of the Gallery and your art!  Thank you, to everyone contributing to our Eclipse Show, it was a huge success!  I have to say, I was exhausted, in my PJ’s and horizontal, on the couch, by 5:00, that afternoon! In 1991, Clyde Lawter, told me about a group of artists he was forming.  Many of you were a part of that first group that was formed, I joined in 1992.  The goals are the same today, to educate, encourage, fellowship with other artists, and give them a place to show their work.  At our meeting, we will celebrate 33 years of being Paducah Area Painter’s Alliance.  Jenny and Liz will provide refreshments. Welcome new member, Marcia Duncan and returning members, Mark and Joyce Ray.  We are excited to have them as a part of our group! The Gallery Show Change is April 29th and 30th. Remember, 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 miniatures, and 8 cards.  Thank you, for continuing to put the titles of the paintings on a Post It, on the front of the four framed.  Labeling, is so much easier. Our regular meeting is April 30th at 7:00.  The program, most requested topic, “Pricing Your Paintings”.  Cindy will lead the discussion, sharing many ideas. The Challenge is “Paint a Tree”. May Challenge is “Clouds”.  WOW! This is the best word to describe Suzanne Alexander’s Featured Artist Show.  She certainly has a gift in Quilting!  Be sure to thank her, for sharing her art.  Julie Brigance is Featured Artist in May. Last time I worked the Gallery, I arrived with an X-Large Diet Coke, in hand. Neteding relief, already, I flushed the toilet, minutes later, hear water running from the top of the toilet!!  I turned off the water, cleaned the floor, and wondered what o do My 911 call was to Mark Cope!  He replaced the inside parts, and we are happy, ever after!  Thank him, for keeping us going! Hope you are enjoying spring, and all of its glories. Thanks for all you do for PAPA. See you, Tuesday! Dutch
