Happy Spring! As I write this, tonight is officially spring….kind of cold! This
rebirth of nature is so beautiful to me, even the Dandelions and blooming weeds!
Those prolific purple blooming weeds are Dead Nettle and Henbit, favorites of
Honey Bees, so watch for them and maybe let them live a little longer!
The Eclipse Event is almost upon us. Our city and much of our area is a very
popular destination! Cindy and Jenny have organized our PAPA Event, “Eclipse,
Show within a Show”. For complete information, please check your email message.
A few quick details, bring your two Miniatures to the Gallery by March 30th, all
members may participate. The Show will run the month of April, with extended hours
April 7 12-6 and April 8 10-4, you may sign up to work online or at the meeting,
Tuesday night. Can’t wait to see you creations!
Yes, it is meeting time, again, Tuesday, the 26th at 7:00. Chad McLaren will be
doing a “Soft Pastel Demonstration”, with emphasis on his approach to color. He
does use vivid color, will be excellent. The Challenge is “Something Moving in the
Wind”. April Challenge is “Paint a Tree”.
Suzanne Alexander is Featured Artist for April. She creates an exhibit every
April, for our Ouilters, so this will be an extra special Show as we see her creativity!
Diane Ireland has been featured this month. Her detailed work is so reminiscent of
of her teacher and mentor, Mel Garbark, our beloved member.
The next Gallery Show change is April 29th and 30th, the meeting at 7:00,
Tuesday night. As a reminder, 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 miniatures and 8 cards.
Well, we have much to do and many opportunities to show our work! As always,
thank you, for all you do for PAPA.
