Happy Halloween!  Growing up in the 1950’s,  Halloween was one of the most memorable times of my life.  We had Halloween parties in our basement, dunking for apples, telling Ghost Stories, and playing lots of games…great fun!  I had lots of cousins, so my dad’s sisters would take us Trick or Treating, in our homemade costumes, collecting lots of candy.  Remember that Peanut Butter Taffy?  It always stuck to the black and orange paper, so I ate the paper too!  So great to have memories of good times.  Good times happen each day, in our Gallery!  We are blessed to meet people from all over the world and make new friends!

November 18th will be the first day of our $10 Miniature Fundraising Sale!  This sale is so important in paying our bills in the slower months of winter.  Popular subjects include, anything Christmas, animals, flowers, landscapes…etc.  please leave your donations on the back counter for processing and storing.

Gallery Show change is October 23rd and 24th.  Our regular meeting is October 24th, at 7:00.  This month, our program will feature Ruth Andre, abstract Artist. Should be an interesting program on her work and creating abstracts.  The Challenge is Harvest Painting.  Next month is a Monochromatic Painting.

Hope you have seen Cindy McLaren’s fantastic Featured Artist Show!  Her Reception will be from 1-3 this Saturday, October 21st.  Keith Murphy will be featured in November.  Keith is a Watercolor Artist from Mayfield.

Saturday, November 4th, we will have our Downtown Christmas Open House. Hosting will be Martha Brown, Carol Hudson, Darlene Stephens, and Linda Thomasson.  Come by and visit, enjoying delicious refreshments.

Rudy Holmes, former PAPA member and our sign maker, passed away this week.  Such a nice person, he will be missed.

Enjoy the great weather and Halloween!  As always, thanks for all you do for PAPA.
