I love fall! Actually, I love the change of seasons. Fall brings the crispness in the air, anticipation of special holidays, new clothes, College football, beautiful colors in nature, many activities and new opportunities, plus..candle burning!!
PAPA’s fundraiser, $10 Miniature Sale, is swiftly approaching! The exact date is yet to be determined, but is usually mid- November. The donation and sale of your miniatures, fund our bank account for the slower months of winter. Hope you are
working to contribute to this important event.
Gerry Marcum, a contributing member since our founding in 1991, passed away, recently. She and Bill left their marks in our hearts and lives, and will be sorely missed by each of us! A wonderful painter, she was my friend, encourager, mentor,
and art critique since 1995. Each of us has a story about Gerry, she was a positive force in our lives. Our thoughts, prayers, and sympathies, continue with her awesome family.
Our next meeting is Aug. 29th, at 7:00. Diane will lead a discussion on what sparks our creativity. Please come with ideas and suggestions for future programs. Harrietta, Sandi, and Diane, as Program Directors, have provided stimulating programs
through the years. We so appreciate their efforts to educate, stimulate, and lead each of us on our artistic journeys.
Darlene Stephens, provided a wonderful Featured Artist Show this month! Her Reception was much enjoyed and well attended! Heather Reed, will be Featured Artist for September. Please visit her Show and Reception, September 2nd 2-4.
The Challenge Painting for this month is Paint a Sunset”. Next month Challenge, “Abstract Painting”.
Please note the change of the next Gallery Show change to Oct.23rd and 24th. The meeting will also be on the 24th. The change will allow our membership to enjoy Halloween with family, friends and trick or treaters!
