PAPA Gallery was cleaned, top to bottom, yesterday, really was! Our eager group of cleaners and painters worked non-stop to get the job done! You will notice the freshness and brightness, immediately! Thanks, to all helping, it was especially good to get to know our new members that bravely volunteered. Our social media will show the day in pictures. Thank you, again.
April is the month we celebrate our beginning. Clyde Lawter, our founder, gathered local artists to form this union dedicated to recognizing, encouraging, educating, showing and selling their created works. That was 32 years ago and still going strong! Tuesday evening, we will celebrate this milestone.
Gallery Show change is the 24th and 25th, bring in your works. If you are a new exhibiting member, I suggest you bring your work Tuesday 10-3 or to the meeting. Forms are at the Gallery or at our website, Just a reminder..4 Framed, 4 Unframed, 7 Miniatures, 8 Cards. Your info on the back of each work, including the price and name of the work.
Diane Bay will have the program Tuesday evening. The Challenge is Painting with Texture. Next month is Painting with Nature. Our April Featured Artist has been Joanie Lampley-Sims, hope you have seen her wonderful show. Jean Lorrah will be Featured in May.
Saturday, April 22, 3:30-5:00 Paducah City Hall, John McLaren will be honored with a show and reception of his works. This is to celebrate his winning the Paducah Woman’s Club Art Show Grand Prize in 2022. Let’s support John and others entering the show this year.
