Linda has been drawing since childhood. She enjoyed art classes at Russell High School and at the University of Kentucky. As an elementary teacher she incorporated art into daily lessons while teaching students to create artistic drawings as special holiday family gifts.
Linda applied for and received grants to attend four fabulous summer sessions at the Tennessee Arts Academy at Belmont College in Nashville. With this new experience she was invited to teach after-school art classes through the Harriman City Schools Community Education program. Linda has done additional study in oil and watercolor classes through Roane State College and PAPA Gallery. The learning continues. She says art is a way to preserve memories and celebrate life.
Linda and her husband, Paul, live in Paducah and enjoy traveling. Stop into PAPA this month to see this collection of Linda’s art. May it give you a happy heart!
